To my loyal readers out there, no matter what the numbers may be, I deeply apologise for the lack of updates, content and whatnot. Fact is, so many things has happened over the past three months since PAF started that things went way out of hand of what I have always wanted to do and what I think is a wise thing to do.
In a nutshell, here’s what happened.
1. I left Singapore for Sydney and I was confused, stressed and tired of being broke and bored of not doing anything.
2. I applied for (any kind of) jobs all over town, attended several interviews and landed a gig as a travel consultant. It was a day job, I was on rostered shifts but I absolutely hated it after starting in store. I had to make a decision to stay or go and I chose the latter because it made me happy.
3. Sometime during that three months that I was working in a desk-bound job, I figured my purpose in life. I somehow realised how much I love fitness, and that I felt utterly suffocated sitting behind the desk doing something I dislike, and that I really want to reach out to as many people as possible helping change their life in one way or another. That is also another reason why I left that job.
4. I had a major slip-up, a boo boo, a seriously ‘I suck big time!’ moment. Doing something I dislike made me angry and tired. I remembered coming home after an overtime shift feeling absolutely shitty, I started losing energy in the gym and my nutrition started to go downhill. Another good reason to leave? It’s affecting me physically.
Some people say that this is just a phase of a new ‘career’. You will get used to it and then everything will seem normal again. But how can something that makes me feel so bad can become normal? That’s an absurd theory, in my opinion. I had to leave, and by far it was the best decision I’ve made this year.
So what’s next?
Yes, I may be jobless and I chose to be this way but I find bliss in writing, spreading my knowledge to what I know best, and that is fitness, and doing things that makes me happy. I will be focusing more on writing on PrettyAwesomeFitness.com and I will be launching several other ventures in the near future, providing quality advice to help you improve your life and live the best one ever.
And I will not stray.
Just expect some great posts to come. And thank you for always believing in me.
